Hi, I am Dr Kelly Jones, a Registered Consultant Clinical Psychologist, wife and mother of two. American by background, I enjoy travelling, fundraising for charities and am passionate about my hobby of board-gaming.
For over 15 years, I worked for Older Adult Services in the NHS supporting people with dementia and their carers as well as working with a vast array of anxiety disorders, trauma, bereavement and adjustment disorders. My groups in the NHS have been award winning for innovation as shown in the photo! I also spent two years working for a chronic pain service working with long term health conditions before opening my own private practice in the Surrey Hills of Merstham in 2020.
Whilst highly-skilled in individual and group Cognitive Behavioural techniques (CBT), my passion has always aligned more with positive psychology, specifically Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. I am a qualified Mindfulness Now Teacher, trained at that UK College of Mindfulness Meditation (accredited by the BPS) with skills in MBSR & MBCT.
My practice ethos promotes well-being, recovery and strengths building as I have helped many clients to reach value driven goals and improve their quality of life. I love helping people like yourself learn new skills such as how to manage stress better, how to make the most of every moment and bring your life inline with the things you value most. Together we can learn how to live more in the present moment and maybe even have a laugh doing so. I look forward to meeting you soon and making a positive difference in your life.
